About SACRED Yoga

Practicing yoga has changed my life in many ways and has been a sacred part of my wellness ritual for more than 15 years. It helps me ground and stay clear, but also connects me to my inner wisdom.

Throughout the years, I had gone through over a dozen yoga mats and was never truly satisfied. They’d either curl, fall apart, or they wouldn’t stay put, and I never found one that was grippy enough. It was always something! So I took these important yoga mat matters into my own hands and decided to design what is now the signature Sacred Yoga mat.

First and foremost, I needed the mat to be as grippy as Earthly possible and it had to be 100% floor stable. I find that when practicing yoga, you must feel totally secure to have the confidence to move freely, especially into challenging positions. Naturally, it also had to be sustainable and non-toxic. Next, it was important that the mat be functional so I added the central line—to help make alignment and flow much easier, especially for beginners. I equally wanted to make sure that the mat would be suitable for tall people and give yogis extra space in crowded studios, so I increased the standard length and width on the Pro Mats.

Last but not least, the design had to be beautiful and have great energy. As an artist and a lover of all things cosmic, I designed the Sacred Eye symbol to represent the connection between the Universe and Earth energies. It is simple, yet complete.
